Installation

After your ID is verified, you will receive an email with your password to access the database. The Sigtrack app is built in FileMaker, which is owned by Apple Inc. and works on PC and Mac. FileMaker Pro requires Windows 10+ or Mac OS 12+.

  1. Download and install FileMaker Pro for Windows or FileMaker Pro for Mac (right-click and "save link as"). During the installation, you will be prompted to install Bonjour, which you should do.
  2. Not until after step 1 (important), download Sigtrack and move it from your Downloads folder to your Desktop. Do not do this before step 1.
  3. Always open Sigtrack by double clicking the icon on your desktop. Never use Recent Files or the FileMaker Launch Center. If prompted, check the box to always connect to the server and continue, and to allow communication through your firewall.
  4. If you are on a Mac, you will need to disable entering a period on double space. [disable period on double space]

Trials and License Keys

When you open Sigtrack, FileMaker Pro will ask for a license key. Choose Start Trial instead. Once your production is decent (10,000 tags) and your average accuracy at least 95%, we'll provide a commercial license key. They cost us a chunk of money for each user, so we need to see numbers before doling them out. You'll need to qualify within 45 days of starting the trial.
