Circulator Declarations

There are two types of forms, one for in-state circulators that asks for address and county at the bottom, and one for out-of-state circulators.

The shorthand for in-state circulators is the

  1. first letter of first name
  2. first letter of last name
  3. first digit of house number
  4. first letter of street name
  5. first letter of city
  6. first letter of county at the very bottom of the page

The shorthand for out-of-state circulators is the

  1. first letter of first name
  2. first letter of last name

Enter the date signed, handwritten signature count (regardless of the real signature count), and check the box only if the circulator signed.

If you have an in-state form but Sigtrack insists on a 2-character shorthand, or if you have an out-of-state form and Sigtrack insists on a 6-character shorthand, flag the scan as the wrong petition (p).

Signatures

There are two petitions for the mayoral candidacy of Eric Adams. Look for the bold text in the candidacy language up top. Enter EAS as the short code for EndAntiSemitism, or SA for Safe&Affordable.

Signing date can be transcribed. However, it cannot be changed without the voter's initials.

Printed name is not required so long as legal signature is legible. Only use -n0 if the name is incomplete and the signature is illegible.

Any change to signing date must be initialed. If the date was crossed out and changed and not initialed, record as no date at all.

City and zip code are not required.
